Graduation is a HUGE moment in your life! After all these years working towards earning your diploma, you can finally celebrate all of your hard work with your friends and family!

Before the celebration can begin, there is so much preparation leading up to the big day. From finding a hair and makeup artist, getting your nails done, shopping for a graduation outfit, and booking your graduation cap & gown session! To help ease the stress, here are a few outfit planning tips that I love to share with my high school and college seniors when they book a graduation cap and gown session with me:

1. Colors: Try to find a color that compliments the color of your graduation gown and/or one of your graduation stoles! For example, if the color of your gown is emerald green, then consider wearing something navy blue! BONUS: The best color to wear with any graduation gown is white or black! These two colors compliment every skin tone and do not clash with any other colors!

2. Shoes: To all my besties that want to wear high heels, please make sure you practice wearing them before graduation! You do not want to be wobbling around or even fall while walking down the steps after receiving your diploma. Most of the time our feet don’t show in pictures, so if you’re looking for a comfortable option look into wearing a cute pair of sandals or flats!

3. Comfort: I cannot stress enough how important it is to pick an outfit that you feel the most comfortable to wear. Wearing an outfit that make you feel comfortable will help radiate your confidence and allow so many poses for your graduation pictures. Make sure to try on each outfit to ensure you can sit and walk around comfortably.

4. BONUS: This is a great opportunity to wear a traditional outfit from your culture!
